Once you have booked your flight to Seychelles, you are half way there.
Close your eyes and imagine smooth, outstandingly white beaches with lapis-lazuli water gently lapping over your toes. Visualize yourself swinging in a hammock tied to two gently swaying coconut trees, drinking a cocktail whilst lazily considering what to do for lunch.
Well, no need to imagine, paradise can be found in the Seychelles!
Go for a walk in the Valley of May, on the island of Praslin. Meet the famous coco-de-mer which grows there. They are the emblem of the island. Visit one of the many wonderful beaches of the Seychelles. Spend some time on la Digue and relish on some great Seychellois dish. Here are some itineraries that may keep you busy when flying to the Seychelles.
Unusual to do
Go to the Victoria market on Saturday morning, the big rendezvous of the island, where everyone goes to get news from each other as much as to buy spices, fish, fruits and vegetables. On the first floor of the wooden structure, a wooden gallery, shops of pareos and souvenirs, and the charming little bistro-restaurant Joli Rose, to drink a coconut – opened with a machete (less than 1 €) while listening to the conversations (in Creole, it is especially for the musicality of the language!) And to follow the spectacle of the market that takes place below. This friendly atmosphere will make you experience a feeling you will not get elsewhere around the world. The surrounding streets offer the opportunity to buy jewelry in shells or boats model and local craft productions.
Unusual to discover
Victoria’s "Big ben", a clock planted in the middle of the main crossroads, is an exact and miniature replica of the London clock. The small capital is the economic and cultural lung of the country. It has a court run by lawyers in wigs, because that is how justice is done. A picturesque sight. You have to see the craft village, at the Creole Institute and go up to the Jardin des Roi to discover the spices while visiting the magnificent surrounding garden.
